Sonatide for Linux

Get early access to Sonatide on Linux. You can just use the app - testing and feedback are optional.

Run

Download Sonatide.AppImage, make it executable and run it:

chmod +x Sonatide.AppImage
./Sonatide.AppImage

An AppImage is one file that contains the app; nothing is installed system-wide. Keep the file where you want the app to live - updates replace that same file. To get a launcher entry and an icon in your app menu, use a tool such as AppImageLauncher or move the file into ~/Applications.

x86-64, a desktop with GTK 3. The signed-in session is kept in your desktop’s keyring (Secret Service - GNOME Keyring, KDE Wallet); without one you stay signed in only until the app is closed.

Updates

Sonatide checks for updates when it starts and downloads a new version in the background. When one is ready, Profile -> About -> “Restart to update” replaces the AppImage; if you skip it, the update installs itself the next time you open the app. Updates only work when the app is started from the AppImage itself.

Signing in

Google and Apple sign-in open in your browser: the page on sonatide.app completes the sign-in and hands it back to the app. Email sign-in works inside the app.
