Delete your account

In the app

Open Profile and select your name to open Account. Choose Delete account and hold the button to confirm. Your account is deleted immediately and cannot be restored. The exceptions for delivered letters, moderation records and backups are listed below.

By email

If you cannot open the app, write to hello@sonatide.app from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We confirm that it is you and delete the account within 7 days.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, username, photo, music service, and connections such as Last.fm.
• Your received music, including archived letters, your reactions and reply notes. A letter is a song or album shared in Sonatide, with an optional note and mood.
• Your address book and your invite links; the links stop working right away.
• Your sign-in account and the device identifiers used to send you notifications.

What remains

• Letters you sent stay with their recipients, without your name or photo.
• Reports filed about your content are kept as moderation records.
• Copies in backups disappear within 30 days. Crash reports expire after 90 days.

Deleting only some data

You do not need to delete the account to remove a photo (Profile, then select your name to open Account) or to disconnect Last.fm (Profile, Last.fm). You can also ask us to delete specific data: hello@sonatide.app. Details: Privacy Policy.
